We're back and loving Texas! The boys are growing up too fast and keeping us busy, busy! Matson will be 4 in May. 4?!?!? Where did that tiny, little baby boy go?? He's getting to be a big kid now :) He's a "preschooler" and will officially start preschool in August. Full-time preschool. Wow! I'll miss my little guy during the day, but I know he'll love it! The little boy once known in the neighborhood as "the one who doesn't walk - but runs everywhere," is now settling into more of a "regular paced" way of doing things. Matson loves riding bikes, playing trains, reading books, constructing with Legos and building with tools. He likes playing "restaurant" and loves to help cook. He will finally sit down and watch a movie now :)
Logan is 19 months now and is such a happy little chatterbox! He says just about everything in the book and wants to be just like Matson. He loves being outside, riding his bike, digging in the dirt,
Logan follows his brother everywhere and will play whatever game Matson wants. I took Logan out to run errands last week and he asked about Matson the entire trip. When we got home, I told Mike, and he said "Matson asked about Logan the whole time too!" They are best buds :)
Both boys are in a "Mother's Day Out" program 2 days a week now. Matson LOVES it :) Logan DISLOVES it :( Matson hides from me when I go to pick him up after school because he's having so much fun. He gets in the car and tells stories about his day. It's very interesting to hear what goes on with a group of 3-4 year olds. We're thrilled that he loves it and it makes Mike and I much more comfortable with him going full-time in the fall. Logan on the other hand, cries when I leave him and cries with happiness when I pick him up. He clings onto me and starts saying "bye-bye" while waving to his adorable toddler friends in the classroom. It's dramatic, as if they are hostages waiting for someone to come save them.
But Texas, overall is wonderful! Both boys are doing well and are thrilled to have their toys and "stuff" back out of storage. We bought a house in December just in time to celebrate Christmas together in our new home :) We've spent the past 4 months polishing up the house with new paint and some tile. Mike is our "yard guy" and has his own garage once again. He's a happy man :) We've made some awesome friends and have spent some time at the beach. We're gearing up for a hot, HOT summer as temps are already in the 90's most days. But our door is always open to our friends and family, so if you're dreaming of a vacation to South Texas - Haha! Just call us :) We miss and love everyone back in the Bluegrass State, AZ, GA and in between!
